This 8-hour training course provides public safety professionals with the knowledge, skills, and applied strategies to effectively use social intelligence in all situations, from interviewing and dealing with incoming clients, to high-risk, high-stress environments. Emphasis is placed on de-escalation, communication, community trust, and officer safety, using real-world scenarios and hands-on exercises. Students are trained to apply the R.E.A.D.S.℠ (pending) decision-making framework in real time during public safety interactions.
