Our 8-hour course provides the student with the tools to help identify prescription medications and illegal drugs and how they are used.  By knowing what the more common medications and illegal drugs are, the officers and agents of probation, parole, and corrections can better prepare themselves to recognize the signs and symptom, as well as conditions that would require the use of certain medications.

• Safety concerns of handling and packaging medications and illegal drugs

• Methods of administration of prescription medication and illegal drugs

• Signs and symptoms of people under the influence of prescription medications and illegal drugs

• Methods of obtaining non-prescribed prescription medications and illegal drugs

• Pertinent laws for prescription medications and illegal drugs
