Leadership Lessons

The primary focus of this 4- hour course is to create and refine leadership skills. Students will explore the different characteristics of leaders; different leadership styles; the role of emotional intelligence; situational leadership through storytelling and delegation; staff empowerment and need for giving effective feedback while maintaining trust. In an ever-changing work force, effective leadership through communication, trust, interpersonal skills create strong relationships which in turn facilitates an effective and efficient work force. Through lecture, facilitated discussion, and hands-on practicum, students will be able to learn different leadership styles; create better staff engagements and production; and reinforce professionalism and confidence. This course will also improve moral and create a collaborative process which will benefit the organization as a whole.
